When are hockey players expected to arrive to Prince Albert for pre-season and how long is the season?

For the 2023-2024 season, our players kicked off their commitment to both the team and the community by participating in the Prince Albert Exhibition Parade on August 1st in conjunction with our younger Foxes teams—a great bonding experience for all our female hockey players. As the season unfolded, our team came together for a memorable team BBQ during the last week of August, where the payers participated in various team building and preparation activities. Regular season wraps up in early March, and playoffs kick in shortly after for more action-packed hockey.  

Where do the Bears attend school?

Every player has their choice where they attend school. They can go to Public High School at Carlton Comprehensive High School, or they can attend Catholic High School at St. Mary’s.

Is it mandatory that players participate in Global Sports Academy?

Participation in Global Sports Academy is not mandatory for Bear's players. Global is an unique opportunity available through Carlton High School for academic credits.

How much are team fee’s and what is covered thru team fees?

For the 2023-24 season, the team fees were set at $6,500.

Team Fees Cover: Ice Rentals, Officials, Team Apparel, Coaching Honorariums, Traveling Fees, Dressing Rooms Supplies, Dryland, Counseling, Tournament Fees, League Fees

If I’m not a resident in Prince Albert where do I stay?

Out of town players will be billeted in a approved home in the community. Monthly billeting payment fee us arranged directly between parents and billeting families. For more information check out our billeting page.
